Public Breastfeeding Law
“A bill to amend Article 1 of Chapter 1 of Title 31 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to general provisions relative to health, so as to provide for the protection of the right of a baby to breast-feed by authorizing a mother to breast-feed in any location, public or private; to amend Chapter 1 of Title 34 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to general provisions, relative to labor and industrial relations, so as to provide for accommodations to be provided for certain nursing mothers by employers.” (1999 SB 29, Act 304; 2002 SB 221)

"Ga. Code Ann. § 34-1-6 (Lexis 2009) permits employers to provide reasonable, unpaid break time for employees to express breast milk and provides that employers may make reasonable efforts to provide a private location other than a toilet stall for an employee to express milk. "
